The Clauses are two hand-painted ceramic figures: Santa with one hand up in a wave and a sack over his shoulder, and Mrs. Claus in her apron and glasses holding a stack of wrapped gifts, a few holly sprigs painted along her hem. Matte finish, the kind made at a ceramics studio from a mold and painted by hand. The bottoms are inscribed by whoever made them, "merry xmas" and dated '80, so they've been going on a shelf together every December since 1980. A couple of small chips on Santa's hat pom and some wear to his boots, nothing on her.
