A wick trimmer and a glass bottle of matches, for the person who already has the candle. Trim to ¼" before each burn and the wood wick stays clean and the flame stays even.
It's also the perfect thing to add to a Homecoming candle if you're giving one.

Care
Trim the wick to ¼" before each burn. Let the wax pool reach the edge of the jar on the first burn so it doesn't tunnel. Keep it away from drafts and never leave it lit unattended.
