Original 1913 sheet music for "You Made Me Love You (I Didn't Want to Do It)" — words by Joe McCarthy, music by James V. Monaco, published by the Broadway Music Corporation. This was Al Jolson's smash from The Honeymoon Express at the Winter Garden Theatre, one of the defining love songs of the ragtime era, and the cover says so proudly right across the top.

The Edwardian charcoal portrait on the cover is the whole reason to hang it — that 1890s–1910s illustration style is prized by ephemera collectors for good reason. A previous owner penciled their name at the top right, faint but legible: George Johnson. We wouldn't dream of erasing him. Framed in wood behind glass, ready to hang. From the Erie Shores house.
