The Honey was carved from stone that made itself — banded onyx, layered over centuries by mineral spring water, then hand-turned in a Turkish workshop sometime in the sixties or seventies, when onyx pieces like her traveled the world as treasures. Hold her up to a window and she glows: cream, amber, caramel, every band a different year of the spring that formed her.
She's substantial at eight and a half inches — a real presence on a mantel or shelf, and the warm tones are exactly what the fall table wants.
