The Ember — Miniature Green Glass Oil Lamp

The Ember is a little one — a miniature oil lamp from the sixties, ribbed green glass font, brass-tone burner, made in the era when tiny working lamps were the gift you brought back from somewhere. Her chimney has wandered off over the years, as they nearly always do, which makes her a beautiful loose object now: the green glass is the whole point, and it reads like a jewel on a stack of books.

A standard mini chimney fits if you ever want her whole again — but she doesn't need it to earn her shelf.
