Sea green, and made for the light. The Chianti is a hand-blown glass pitcher from the 1960s–70s, with an applied handle, a generous pour spout, and the kind of color that turns a windowsill into stained glass. Bottles in her style often arrived in America filled with Italian table wine, the vessel a gift that outlived the gift. She'd pour again happily — or hold stems, propagation cuttings, or simply the light. Underneath, her pontil scar marks where she was snapped from the glassblower's rod: proof of hands, not machines.
Circa 1960s–1970s. Approx. 8" tall. Glass clear and bright.
